Power Shield Tech can be installed on all crops with planting layout (kiwi, pears, apples, cherries, hops, vines). Most of the components are made of environmentally sustainable materials and comply with all major industry regulations. The IoT electronics with its IEPFMS (Intelligent Energy & Precision Farming Management System) software enables the integrated management of the structure and all precision farming systems.
Power Shield Tech features an innovative solar tracking system for maximizing energy production with integrated new solar anti-tracking functionality through a setting in the IEPFMS software interface that allows the system to optimize the sun's rays to the underlying crop at particular times of the year.
Power Shield Tech is equipped with intelligent IoT technology with IEPFMS software that during sprayer treatments allows to position the PV panels in the opposite direction to the treatments in order to limit the deposition of substances on the structure as much as possible.
Power Shield Tech is equipped with advanced weather sensors in order to identify thunderstorms and extreme weather situations in real time, thus allowing the IEPFMS software to have the panels oriented in the direction of the wind in order to limit possible damage to the structures as much as possible.
The Power Shield Tech solution allows the orchard to be cultivated with normal agronomic practices. The system, in fact, consists of supporting poles anchored to the ground and connected to each other with wires and ropes that, when put under tension, make it a tensile structure with great stability, also guaranteed by the sensors monitoring the tension of the ropes. The structure is the base of the agrivoltaic system and its integrations for hail or rain covers.
Power Shield Tech uses SunPower Performance double-sided photovoltaic panels featuring the innovative design of stacked hypercells to offer greater durability (25-year warranty) and higher performance (+8%) than conventional solar panels.Main strengths:
i-Pergola has custom IoT electronics for the integrated control of all components. Wireless connection systems such as WIFI, 4G and Bluetooth are provided.
i-Pergola is equipped with IEPFMS (Intelligent Energy & Precision Farming Management System) software that allows all functions of the agrivoltaic system to be managed both on-site and remotely.
